HELLO EVERYONE & WELCOME TO OUR UNIVERSE !

Presentation of the Site and of Bolis’consciousness
Welcome to Bolis.fr, the crossroads where the history of a name meets the critical spirit of the 21st century.
My name is Bolis. I have lived in Compiègne, on the edge of that forest where time seems suspended, since the dawn of my life. While the maternal branch of my tree, the Crammers, has cast deep roots into this soil for four generations, my name sings another melody.
My paternal grandfather, Serge Bolis — whose image watches over this page — was, at the dawn of his youth at the threshold of the 20th century, a master of fire as a glassblower. Later, with his young wife, he ran the Café de l’Abbaye, before destiny led them to their final callings : he, a craftsman of sight as a painter-glazier in Chantilly, and she, after having been a seamstress, a devoted servant of the Post and Telecommunications.
He now rests in the cemetery of Saint-Germer-de-Fly, taking with him a part of that secret I strive to uncover today. For the Bolis surname is a traveler. From industrious Lorraine to the sun-drenched lands of Lombardy, it resonates like the echo of a plural heritage and a fraternal bond that defies borders.
Currently, Bolis.fr is structured around three main pillars, offering both an anchor in the past and a sharp look at the present :
I. The Sharp Chronicles of Jules Masterix

Discover the incisive chronicles of Jules Masterix, our resident letter-writer. From his home, he echoes the daily hassles and paradoxes we all face. From the “dictatorship of the Cloud” to planned obsolescence, he dissects the impact of democratized IT, mobile telephony, multimedia, and modern communication tools on our comfort and peace of mind.
II. Poetic Escape

To balance the disconnect with globalization and the digital frenzy of our dear planet, we offer a selection of poems by Francophone authors from another era. These literary breathers are an invitation to rediscover the luxury of uninterrupted thought and the beauty of slow, measured expression.
III. History and Heritage
This section is by no means a frozen gallery ; it is a living guide, a visual memory in the making. Here, as discoveries unfold, you will follow the path of the surname across the map of Europe. More than just a list of dates, it is about rediscovering the traces of those who preceded us, to offer our descendants a history no longer made of shadows, but of faces.

This introductory essay, framed by Jean Favier’s Preface and the context of “Compiègne en sa forêt,” is the place from which the tranquility essential for criticism emanates.
